At the rise of the 3rd millennium, John Paul II invited young people to be “sentinels of the dawn”in his apostolic letter Novo Millennium Ineunte. His call continues to inspire young men and women throughout the world to live by faith, to keep watch and to await the dawn of a new era in the Church which will be ushered in by their personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

As adorers of the Most Blessed Sacrament, we too are inspired by this call to“keep watch” before the most precious treasure that Holy Mother Church offers to us. Day and night, we remain in the presence of our Eucharistic King, gazing upon the splendour of His Holy Face. There, we pray that His Light will come into the heart of every person and into the darkness of our world. There, we wait in trust and in hope for a new “springtime”.

So it seemed quite natural to borrow our beloved Pope John Paul's “sentinels of the dawn” as the title of our newsletter since it so very well expresses the tenor of our life.
