We have just begun sewing liturgical albs. Through the generosity of others, God is providing everything: some very fine sewing machines and a large table for cutting, as well as scissors, thread, even straight pins! We have a beautiful pattern for priests and deacons, created for us by some friends who are tailors. They also taught us all the finishing touches that produce a well-made garment. The alb is monastic in style and made from a washable fabric that is practically wrinkle-free.
   A few weeks before Easter, we received a phone call asking us to make “albs” in children's sizes for altar servers and First Communicants for one of our local parishes! A parishioner who had sewn them for years, brought us the patterns and fabric. She spent two afternoons with us showing us all the details and overseeing our work
   We are very grateful to all who have helped us launch this project. The proceeds from our work will not only help us to support ourselves and make repairs around the monastery, but will also allow us to doing something beautiful for priests. .
